Follow Her Shadow

The first guerilla projection took place this evening in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, ZA. Starting from the corner of Bertha and Juta street, Her Shadow set up their projector near the traffic on the Nelson Mandela bridge. Slogans such as "Make city streets safe for womxn!" lit up the walls of the buildings in the city.

People who were attending first Thursdays, where galleries are open to the public at night, gathered around projections. Someone stopped her friends and shouted "You are missing art! Look!". This kind of jolt is what Her Shadow lives for, we need to wake up! We cannot let oppressive norms carry on unopposed.
